I don’t write sad songs any more

That’s all behind me now I’m sure

I used to sing about feeling blue

I can’t sing anything that’s sad

   When I write a song it’s so revealing

   Of everything I’m keeping deep inside

   I used to have this overwhelming feeling

   Of loneliness I never learned to hide

But now I’m feeling good again

Ain’t been this good since don’t know when

And if you see tears in my eyes

Its tears of happiness I cry I don’t lie

So now you’ve heard me sing my song

You’ll understand what’s going on

So don’t you ask me

Maybe some bad songs but

I don’t write sad songs anymore
