The Mellowtone Jazz Trio is available for functions including weddings, parties etc, formal or fun, as well as local venues, based St Albans, Herts, UK. The line up includes guitar/vocals, sax and double bass. For more information just get in touch using the contact page email form. A sample CD is available.
The Jazz Jam is a monthly jazz session held usually on the second or third Thursday each month in St Albans at the Portland Arms (see the gig list to check this month's date). Any jazz musicians interested in performing are invited to get in touch.
The aim of the Jazz Jam is to provide somewhere for experienced jazzers to have a blow, meet new faces and enjoy a pint of Fullers, and for relatively inexperienced players to get the feel of a live jazz session, make connections with other musicians and have a small glass of lemonade. So far over the last few years it has been successful at doing all of those things and looks set to continue in the current venue at the Portland Arms which is a really nice pub. jazz jam blog
